Rui Rita previously designed The Miracle At Naples, Present Laughter, The Sisters Rosensweig, The Blue Demon, and Heartbreak House for the Huntington. His Broadway credits include Dividing the Estate, Old Acquaintance, Enchanted April, The Price, and A Thousand Clowns. His Off Broadway designs include the premieres of Moonlight and Magnolias (Manhattan Theatre Club); The Day Emily Married (Primary Stages); Big Bill, The Carpetbagger's Children, Far East, and Ancestral Voices (Lincoln Center Theater); Engaged (Theatre For a New Audience); Endpapers (Variety Arts); Dinner With Friends (New York/Boston); and Vita & Virginia (Union Square). Also Off Broadway he has designed productions of All’s Well That Ends Well (Theatre For a New Audience); Crimes of the Heart (Second Stage Theatre); and Antony and Cleopatra (The Public Theater/NYSF). His regional work includes Eugene Onegin at Vancouver Opera and various productions at the Alley Theatre, American Conservatory Theater, Centerstage, Goodman Theatre, Hartford Stage, The Kennedy Center, Long Wharf Theatre, Ford’s Theatre, Mark Taper Forum, and Williamstown Theatre Festival. Mr. Rita is an alumnus of the Boston University College of Fine Arts.
