Stages at the BU Theatre
Designed and constructed as America's first civic playhouse, the building today known as the Boston University Theatre was the first tax-exempt theatre established in the nation.
There are two stages at the BU Theatre - the mainstage and the Lane-Comley Studio 210. The box office for both stages is located at 264 Huntington Avenue.
Originally named the Repertory Theatre of Boston, the theatre was built to be a permanent home for the Henry Jewett Players, a Boston-based repertory theatre company.
The Lane-Comley Studio 210 is a black box theatre located adjacent to the Boston University Theatre.
