About

Moonbox presents Peter Shaffer’s Tony Award-winning AMADEUS! Antonio Salieri is the most celebrated composer in Vienna - until Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart arrives. At first, Salieri is the only one to recognize Mozart's genius. In it, he sees the betrayal of everything he's worked for. In despair, Salieri resolves to take revenge for all he has lost and all he can never have; he vows to destroy Mozart and silence the only voice that can remind him of his own mediocrity.   A delightful, poignant and gripping look of one of the greatest composers of all time. Directed by Allison Olivia Choat, with period costuming by David Lucey, and music specially recorded for this production by renowned pianoforte soloist Sylvia Berry and the widely acclaimed Grand Harmonie orchestra musicians.

Approximate Running Time: 2 hours, 45 minutes, one intermission.
