The true story based on the life of Endesha Ida Mae Holland, Ph.D. Also Written by Dr. Holland it is a twenty year journey told in the story of three women who play all of the characters in her life. It tells of her journey from rape, to prostitution, to earning her doctorates from the University of Minnesota. It is funny, tragic and always beautifully told. The language is lyrical and honest. Starring: Award Winning Actress, Jacqui Parker, Valerie Lee and Candace Lee.

Known for praising black women and all their beauty and splendor! He has won numerous awards and is constantly sought after to speak at various College campuses and Universities.

The Meeting tells the story of a fictitious meeting between Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King. One afternoon Malcolm X summons Doctor King to his hotel room in Harlem, they discuss the issues of race and race relations and a debate begins that leaves the audience respecting both of these great men of history and their different methods of making a change in the fabric of American history. Starring: Michael Green, Lawrence Winslow and Ron Wilkes

SPEAK: YOUTH POETRY CONTEST
February 10 @ 2:00 PM
This poetry contest will perform the last Saturday of the festival during the matinee'. We will search the city of Boston to find the best 100 poets. This will include any town in the greater Boston area. We will contact high schools, colleges and communities centers seeking the best youth poet between the ages of 16 - 25. There will be a process of performance eliminations and the final ten will perform in the festival where the winner will receive $1,000.00.
