Award-winning dancer/choreographer Kira Seamon brings her innovative and unique blend of choreography, ballet and dance theatre to interpret music from Bizet's beloved opera, Carmen. Joined by graduates from New England Conservatory and Longy, she will present live music and singing in an unforgettable evening! Her performance in 2009 with New England Light Opera was described by audiences as "fascinating...one-of-a-kind...a feast for the senses, so many textures/feelings, each more gorgeous than the last!" Also performing are dancers from Forty Steps Dance Company. Innovative Sallee Slagle, is the Artistic Director of Forty Steps Dance.
Approximate running time is 2 hours, with one intermission. This performance is appropriate for all ages.
