In partnership with the BCA Dance Residency, Jean Appolon Expressions premieres Angaje.

Exploring themes of injustice, inequality and homophobia in the context of contemporary Haiti, ANGAJE is a series of interconnected dances set to music by Haitian legend Toto Bissainthe, both as audio recordings and performed live by vocalist Claudia Eliaza, guitarist Steve Desrosiers and JAE’s resident percussionists. Set design by Anya Smolnikova.
