"This is very much a play about human relationships. and one to which audience members will find themselves responding with instinctive friendship. Cakewalk is a treat that will leave theatre-goers happy and hungry for more." London Free Press

Cakewalk portrays a traditional cake baking competition in a small Vermont town during the July 4th festivities.  The contestants include a nun-in-disguise, a driven cub scout leader, owner of the local organic café, the Mother-of-the-Bride, and the only male competition entrant, an visiting archeologist.  While waiting for the cakewalk to start, sparks fly and nerves are frayed, especially from the bride, who does not want her cake in the competition and the cub scout leader who will do anything to win the competition.  It is a heartwarming story filled with laughter, jealousy, pain, and love.
