Johnny Blazes, an improbable sir/ma'am cabaret rockstar, sets the stage with song for Kenneth Prestininzi's first play in Boston since his runaway hit, Birth Breath Bride Elizabeth, in ArtsEmerson’s The Next Thing Festival last season.

In this two-character tragi-comic fiasco, Ugmo, a shameless comedian, takes Dostoevsky's underground man down the gay performance hole, hoping to marry love with cocky bravado. He predicts he will fail, but he promises to do so brilliantly.

Approximate running time: 90 minutes with one intermission.
