The Last Act—a provocative political thriller by playwright Joshua Sobol—will receive its world premiere production at Israeli Stage.

But here’s the thing.

Because Sobol’s play grapples with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it couldn’t find a home in Israel. You see, Israeli theatres are state-subsidized and wouldn’t produce it for fear of losing funding over something so politically potent.

Which is exactly what makes this is such an important piece of theatre—and exactly what makes it worth seeing.

Approximate Run Time: 60 minutes, no intermission. Every performance will be followed by a 25-minute dialogue
