Avenue of the Arts / Huntington Avenue Theatre
2/15/19 & 2/17/19

In Odyssey Opera's fully staged production of his third reformed opera, Christoph Willibald Gluck with a libretto by Ranieri de' Calzabigi, we have the story of the events between the Judgment of Paris and his flight with Helen to Troy. Paris chooses Venus as the fairest of the goddesses, and she rewards him with the promise of the love of the most beautiful woman in the world, Helen of Troy. Upon meeting, love sparks and they will defy everything to be together. But when gods intervene in the lives of mortals, can there be a happy ending?

Run time: 2 hours and 30 minutes, with one intermission.
