Inspired by Laura Mvula’s “Sing to the Moon,” this program centers on the works of great composers who struggled with mental health, including Sergei Rachmaninoff, Modest Mussorgsky, and Piotr Tchaikovsky. These works will be presented alongside spoken word collaborations and original poetry by members from the Patient/Family Advisory Council at McLean Hospital. With this program, Palaver hopes to open up conversations and reduce mental health stigmas in the wider community.
