City Ballet of Boston will debut Souvenir from October 26-28, presenting Gerald Arpino's Birthday Variations, with the music of Guiseppe Verdi, selections by Isadora Duncan, and original works by Tony Williams and Gianni diMarco. Mr. Williams' ballet Ephemera is set to music by Claude Debussy. A new work, An American Songbook, will present dances to the music of Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Lionel Hampton, The Orioles and Leonard Bernstein. Ellen O'Reilly, formerly of the Boston Ballet, will stage choreography by Isadora Duncan. Nicole Duffy Davidson, from the Robert Joffrey & Gerald Arpino Celebration, will stage Arpino's Birthday Variations.
