Volunteer ushers are a vital part of many venues' Front of House operations. At the Boston University Theatre and the Calderwood Pavilion alone, more than 1,280 ushers are needed for more than 160 performances each season!
Volunteers are expected to hand out programs, help seat patrons before the show starts, and answer patrons' basic questions about the theatre. In exchange, ushers can see the performance free of charge and get an inside look at the workings of professional theatre companies.
Many people‚ including couples‚ families‚ and friends volunteer at the theatre. Please join us!
