Calderwood Pavilion/BCA

The Huntington Calderwood is fully accessible. The Virginia Wimberly Theatre can accommodate both wheelchair and companion seating in the orchestra and mezzanine sections. The Nancy and Edward Roberts Studio Theatre can accommodate up to four wheelchair seats, depending on the seating configuration. There are accessible restrooms on both levels of  The Huntington Calderwood. The Atelier 505 Parking Garage provides handicapped parking in close proximity to The Huntington Calderwood.

Virginia Wimberly Theatre

  • Sidewalk-level access available (no stairs)
  • Accessible box office: a patron in a wheelchair can comfortably reach the vent to pass items back and forth, and to communicate via the microphone
  • Wheelchair/accessible needs positions available in both Orch and Mezz levels
  • Accessible restrooms are located on the Main and Mezz levels
  • Elevator access to the Mezz level
  • Assistive Listening Devices available for all performances
  • Select performances will be designated as Open Captioned, ASL interpreted, or Audio Described. Please check Boston Theatre Scene for details.

The Wimberly Theatre

 

Roberts Studio Theatre

  • Sidewalk-level access available (no stairs)
  • Accessible box office: a patron in a wheelchair can comfortably reach the vent to pass items back and forth, and to communicate via the microphone
  • Wheelchair/accessible needs positions available (may include positions on the floor level as well as the upper gallery level, depending on seating configuration of production)
  • Accessible restrooms are located on the Main and Mezz levels
  • Elevator access to the upper level (when applicable)
  • Assistive Listening Devices available for all performances
  • Soundproof booth for audio description
  • Select performances will be designated as Open Captioned, ASL interrupted, or Audio Described. Please check Boston Theatre Scene for details.

The Roberts Studio Theatre

 

Martin Hall & Deane Hall

  • Sidewalk-level access available (no stairs)
  • Accessible box office: a patron in a wheelchair can comfortably reach the vent to pass items back and forth, and to communicate via the microphone
  • Elevator access to the Mezz level
  • Wheelchair/accessible needs positions available (both halls on 2nd level)
  • Accessible restrooms are located on the Mezz level
  • Assistive Listening Devices available for all performances

Huntington Theatre

The Huntington Theatre at 264 Huntington Avenue is fully accessible. The theatre can accommodate both wheelchair and companion seating in the orchestra and mezzanine sections. There is a chair lift from the mezzanine lobby to the mezzanine seating area. The Maso Studio is also fully accessible. There are accessible restrooms on all levels of the Huntington Theatre. ADA parking spots are available at the Matthews Arena nearby.

The Huntington Theatre

  • Main entrance to the theatre is fully accessible via indoor ramp from sidewalk level.
  • Wheelchair/accessible needs seating available in the Orchestra and Mezzanine via elevator and chair lift.
  • Accessible restrooms located on all floors
  • Not a fully accessible box office: height of window may prevent comfortable communication for a patron in a wheelchair
  • Assistive Listening Devices available for all perfs
  • ASL-Interpreted and Audio-described performances are offered to some Huntington performances performances (see BostonTheatreScene for details)

The Maso Studio

  • Elevator access to upper level

BCA Plaza and Black Box Theatres

  • Lift access available for a patron in a wheelchair or for patron with mobility issues (must otherwise descend nine steps to reach the level of the theatre)
  • Accessible box office: a patron in a wheelchair can comfortably reach the vent to pass items back and forth, and to communicate via the microphone
  • Wheelchair/accessible needs positions available
  • Accessible restrooms are located on the lower level, same level as theatre
  • Assisted Listening Devices are only available when a presenting company equips the theatre with an FM hearing enhancement system (This is rare; ask per performance)
  • ASL-interpreted and Audio-described performances are only offered when a presenting company makes arrangements for such a performance (This is rare; ask per performance)
