Boston Theatre Scene

Beastly

BCA Plaza Theatre, 539 Tremont Street

Saturday, October 5, 7:30pm

In Beastly, naughty animals divulge their deepest secrets in poetic verse, perimenopause rules the day, and 20 years into the future, one woman calls us together to topple the patriarchal systems that keep us divided and broken.

Beastly opens in a dystopian future where an aged despotic Trump is still running the show. Our heroine travels back in time, mining her rebellious teenage years, frazzled motherhood, and unexpected pivot to social justice organizing, as she races to turn back the clock and set us on a better path — before it’s too late.
Beastly blends stand up comedy, poetic reverie, and a strategic call to action, ultimately asking us to reckon with the power we each hold in our hands to change the course of history. Ticket proceeds benefit Movement Voter Project, Reproductive Equity Now, and Corporate Accountability.
