Beau Jest Moving Theater

Lifeboat Drill & Come and Go

Calderwood Pavilion, 527 Tremont Street

Three short plays about the end of life by Tennessee Williams and Samuel Beckett are placed in a poignant and humorous conversation with each other.

A live audio theater presentation of an unpublished Tennessee Williams short story is followed by a marionette rendition of Beckett’s Come And Go performed by guest artist Libby Marcus and the rarely performed William’s play Lifeboat Drill is performed by Beau Jest founders Davis Robinson and Lisa Tucker. Beau Jest was last seen at the Calderwood with their acclaimed adaptation of Samurai 7.0. Their 2022 production Screwball! was cited by BIll Marx in the Artsfuse as “pretty much a delight from start to finish.” Don’t miss this rare chance to see and hear two of the greatest playwright’s of the 20th century ruminate on how it may all end, told through the imaginative theatermaking eyes of Beau Jest…
