Queer Voices Festival

BCA Plaza Theatre, 539 Tremont Street

Queer Voices Festival is a three-day celebration of Queerness, featuring two nights of 10-minute plays and performances by local LGBTQ+ artists. The festival also includes a matinee staged reading in collaboration with CHUANG Stage and a matinee of a family friendly devised piece inspired by Shakespeare.

Boston Theater Company’s Queer Voices Festival is a submission-based showcase of vibrant and diverse ten minute plays, written by LGBTQ+ playwrights. This festival plays a vital role in promoting LGBTQ+ representation in the arts, and celebrates the diversity and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community. The festival includes dynamic opening acts to set the tone for the performances. In addition, there will be a special staged reading night, offering an intimate exploration of queer narratives. Families can enjoy a queer Shakespeare event, blending classic literature with inclusive themes. This multi-faceted event promises to entertain, inspire, and uplift audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
