Skazki: A Spell of Ice and Snow is a world-premiere musical production by J.X.M. Corriss with music by Jonathan Blackshire featuring a reimagining of Russian folklore in a magical performance featuring peasants and princes, gods and spirits, witches and riddles – set on the backdrop of endless Winter nights

In a certain land, in a certain place, where the nights were never truly dark and where the summers were never truly warm, in a time when witches lived in the woods and when the gods spoke to the people, the Lord of Winter grew restless… Mystic Evidence Productions presents the world premiere of J.X.M. Corriss’s Skazki: A Spell of Ice and Snow with music by Jonathan Blackshire. This reimagining of Russian folklore gives it new life and meaning in our modern world and casts a spell on audiences of all ages – whether fans of musicals, fantasy, fairy tales, classical dramas about struggle and hope, or those looking for deeper meaning in their folklore. Featuring iconic characters like Baba Yaga and The Lord of Winter, Morozko, Skazki is an epic tale of peasants and princes, gods and spirits,  witches and riddles—set on the backdrop of endless Winter nights.
