SpeakEasy Stage Company has distinguished itself as Boston’s premiere theatre staging Boston premieres, consistently winning acclaim for presenting intimate, top-quality productions of vital, contemporary plays and musicals.

The company’s mission is to connect, inspire, and challenge its audiences with the most socially relevant theatrical premieres featuring the most talented artists in Boston.

Throughout its history, SpeakEasy has consistently won acclaim for its artistic excellence, including the most Eliott Norton Awards of any midsize theater company. SpeakEasy was also named Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston® 2018 – Best Theatre Company, and its Producing Artistic Director Paul Daigneault was honored with the 2014 Elliot Norton Prize for Sustained Excellence.

SpeakEasy Stage is proud to make its home at the Boston Center for the Arts, and in 2007 was named The Stanford Calderwood Pavilion Resident Theatre Company at the Boston Center for the Arts.
