The River Echoes is an original dance-theatre work inspired by the River Ganga and the many stories, memories, and meanings that gather around her. Performed by Kaaya Vritti’s ensemble, the production brings together Indian classical and contemporary movement traditions with music, narration, and theatrical storytelling. At its heart, the work asks what happens when we are called upon to give more than we imagined, when promises are made before their true cost is understood, and what it means to carry them through nonetheless. No prior knowledge of the mythology or dance traditions is needed to experience the work.
