Janelle Gilchrist Dance Troupe  – JGDT –  presents its 2024-2025 season opening showcase,  Enchanted Twilight,  an Autumn-themed dance performance featuring new works choreographed by Janelle Gilchrist, artistic director.

This season, the Company will introduce its newly added second company called JGDT Community Ensemble.  The JGDT Community Ensemble is composed of recreational adult dancers, who are passionate about dancing and performing for recreational purposes.

The season opening showcase will also feature special guests.

DanceVisions, Inc. under artistic director Margot Parsons and Dance Currents Inc. under artistic director Kathy Hassinger will be part of the Company’s season opening showcase.

Myles Kercher, a talented dancer and choreographer from Ipswich, Massachusetts will perform his own choreographed solo work and will dance with the main company.

Janelle Gilchrist will perform a solo dance piece she choreographed to pay tribute to Michaela Mabinty DePrince, who was a phenomenal human being and dancer and touched so many lives from all over the world during her lifetime.

The Company will have two performances.  The opening night performance will be on Saturday November 2, 2024 at 7PM and the second performance will be on Sunday November 3, 2024 at 3PM.

To show our sincere appreciation to the generous supporters and audience, a local jazz guitarist Christopher Brown will perform to welcome all the guests to the Janelle Gilchrist Dance Troupe’s 2024-2025 season opening showcase.
