Realm of Illusion is an immersive sound theatre experience inspired by Dream of the Red Chamber, one of China’s most celebrated literary masterpieces. Through contemporary music, electronics, spatial sound, light, and projection, Mt. Far Ensemble transforms the stage into a dreamlike world where reality and illusion continually shift. Structured in four chapters—entering the dream, reading the fate, through illusion, and awakening—the performance invites audiences to experience the emotional and philosophical world of Dream of the Red Chamber through sound and image. Rather than simply telling a story, Realm of Illusion creates a space where audiences can enter, wander, and dream.
